Graphic Design

Graphic design ends up being a catch-all term for digitally combining images with text or other images. I have experience designing for web, email, print, and other physical media.

Logo and Branding

Logos serve as more than just an image to represent a brand, they need to capture an ethos. Today, as consumers interact with companies in new ways, logos have to be more versatile than ever.

The logos displayed below were created as practice. None of these logos are currently in use by real-world clients.

Digital Illustration

Product Photography

Photographing products is different from taking outdoor snapshots of landscapes and people. A nice looking image is all about what the customer never sees. Things like lights, reflectors, diffusers, and focal length.

Email Design

Designing a marketing email involves a number of objectives. A good email campaign catches its audience’s attention, provides relevant information, requests a call to action, and displays legibly on both desktop and mobile.

Print Layout

Designing for print has it’s own unique challenges. Most print projects require higher image resolution, specific color profiles, and optimized file formats.

Blog Writing

At Paracord Planet, I wrote about paracord, survival, rope, macrame, and other connected topics. Emphasis was placed on using keywords that people search Google for. You can visit the blog here: https://www.paracordplanet.com/blog/

Front End Web Development

Front End Web is the part that visitors see. I have experience in SEO keyword research, position monitoring, content writing, basic HTML/CSS coding, and a little bit of UX design. I worked with a team to design the Rope & Cord brand website.

YouTube Personality

No matter how many hundreds of videos I am in, I will never be an expert at this. There is always so much more to learn. I am constantly working on ways to improve my delivery and clarity. You can find my Paracord Planet work here: https://www.youtube.com/paracordplanet

Live Video

Through Covid, I helped design a live video system for Maranatha Free Lutheran Church in Glyndon, MN. Equipment includes ATEM mini pro, PTZ Optics camera, and Huddlecam controller. For two years, I ran the system and organized volunteers. You can view services here: Maranatha Glyndon on YouTube.

At FLBC, I produce livestream content for special events, chapel services and basketball games, the most recent of which can be found on the FLBC website.
